ABOUT THE CONFERENCE CHAIRMAN
Hon. Suarau Isiaka Oluwatoyin, a seasoned administrator and Politician was born on the 7th March, 1963 in Iba town, Ojo Local Government Area of Lagos Stat. For his primary school education, he attended Local Authority Primary School, Iba, Lagos from where he obtained the First Primary School Leaving Certificate in 1974. He proceeded to A.U.D Secondary Modern College School Ota, Ogun State and passed out in 1978 with the West African School Certificate [WASC]. Thereafter, he secured admission to the Government Teachers College, Ajara –Badagry, where he acquired Teachers Grade (II) Certificate 1986. Much later, in year 2000, he acquired National Diploma (Business Administration) from the Centre for Management and Information Technology, Ibadan. In 2003, he obtained a B.Sc. (Hons) Business Administration.
He started his working career in Badagry Local Government, in 1978 as an officer. In 1996, he was commissioned into the Nigeria Immigration Service and bowed out from the service in 2002.
He was appointed Executive Secretary, Iba Local Council Development Area in October 2003, a capacity in which he served till April, 2004. He was brought fully on board Bola Ahmed Tunubu’s administration in 2008 to 2011 as Executive Chairman of Iba Local Council Development Area. He later served as a member Federal House of Representative between 2011 and June 2015. Hon. Oluwatoyin Suarau, a recipient of many awards is presently the Honourable Commissioner for Agriculture in Lagos State. He is married with children.
